Some Believe This Ability To Be :

• Chi - The circulating life force whose existence and properties are the basis of much Chinese philosophy and medicine

• Electrokinesis - The kinetic ability to conjure & manipulate varying amounts of electricity with your mind and / or body alone

• Vasoconstriction - The constriction of blood vessels, which increases blood pressure

• Nerve Blocking - Blocking nerve receptors with the mind

• Sensory Amplification - Amplifying nerves sensitivity

• Chemical Control - Control over chemical releases by brain to affect body parts

• Muscle Straining - Flexing all muscles in the area of effect

• ASMR - Autonomous sensory meridian response, people whom have ASMR have this feeling through different triggers and stimuli but a less common intentional attentional control is possible which would be what this is. This could also be linked to a type of synesthesia.

So these theories basically are guesses from a theological, spiritual, psychical, medical or logical viewpoint.
